USF loses tough match to FSU

The University of South Florida (USF) Bulls lost a tough match at home to the Number 22 ranked Florida State University (FSU) Seminoles this past Saturday afternoon. This match had pitted the top two teams in the Southern Independent Rugby Conference against one another, and the game lived up to the hype. The final score was FSU 26 to USF 24. Scorers for the Bulls included Nick Weaver (two tries, ten points), Kris Jackson (one try, five points), Josh Faile (one try, five points, and Alistair Brice (two conversions, four points). The Bulls had been awarded a penalty at the end (Rugby games cannot end on a penalty until a stoppage in play occurs), but were unable to get within range to attempt a penalty kick. The three points from such a kick would have given the Bulls a one point edge over the Seminoles.
