Useful Jenkins got their start in Mankato, Minnesota in 2002. The band describes their sound as "acoustic jamgrass", a blend of acoustic campfire music, rootsy folk rock, bluegrass, and jam styles. Useful Jenkins released their first album, Fast Eddie, in 2009. The band followed that up with their sophomore effort, Festival Express, in September of this year. In between, the group was featured on the compilation CD for the Harmony Park, Minnesota music festival The Family Reunion 2011. Besides Family Reunion, Useful Jenkins has also played festivals like the Hemp Hoe Down and the Prairie Grass Music Festival. Check out music from the band in the nearby video box.
