Warmer weather is on the way and Central Florida landscapes are suffering under the effects of a drought. Now is a good time to check out your irrigation system to make sure it is operating properly. Don't waste money and water by running your irrigation when you don't need to.
In Florida, the days of the week you are allowed to water are regulated by the Water Management Districts, but you probably don't need to water every day that you're allowed. You do need to know when to water and for how long. To help you out, the Osceola County Extension Service is offering a free class for county residents. Learn how to operate your sprinkler system control box and fix basic sprinkler problems. Have a prettier landscape and save money by irrigating efficiently.
This free workshop on "Using Your Sprinkler System Efficiently" will be held on Thursday February 23 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Saint Cloud Civic Center, 3001 17th St., Saint Cloud, FL. An interactive map is located adjacent to this article.
