Chicago-land public transportation includes commuter trains and buses: CTA, Metra and Pace. Pace buses have more extensive, suburban coverage than the CTA has. Metra commuter trains run less frequently than Pace buses or CTA’s buses and trains. Southern, FPG (Forest Preserve Golf) courses are those (five) that are south of Chicago’s Madison Street.

From O’Hare to Meadowlark Golf Course (This course is at 11599 31st Street in Hinsdale, Ill.), golfers should take CTA’s Blue Line train east to the Cumberland station. At the Cumberland station, golfers should disembark, and take Pace’s #331 south for 10 miles to Cermak Road. At Cermak Road, golfers should disembark and take Pace’s #322 bus west to Wolf Road. At Wolf Road, golfers should disembark, and walk one mile to 31st Street. At 31st Street, golfers should turn right, and walk west for ½ mile to the course’s entrance, which is on the south side of 31st Street.

From O’Hare to Joe Louis Golf Course (This course is at 13100 S. Halsted Street, Riverdale, Ill.), golfers should take CTA’s Blue Line train east to the Jackson station in downtown Chicago. At the Jackson station, golfers should disembark and descend the stairs, and walk to CTA’s Red Line, where they should board the train going south to 95th Street. At 95th Street, golfers should disembark and exit the station. They should board Pace’s #352 bus going south. At 130th Street, they should disembark. They will need to walk over the bridge to the course’s entrance, which is on the right.

From O’Hare to Burnham Woods Golf Course (This course is at 14201 S. Burnham Avenue in Burnham, Ill.), golfers should follow the aforementioned directions as if going to Joe Louis Golf Course except when on Pace’s #352 bus, they should disembark at Pace’s Chicago Heights Transportation Center at 154th Street. Golfers should take Pace’s #350 bus east along Sibley Boulevard to Burnham Avenue. Disembarking at Burnham Avenue, golfers should walk north on Burnham Avenue up and over the overpass for one mile to the course’s entrance, which is on the right.

From O’Hare to George W. Dunne National Golf Course (This course is at 16310 S. Central Avenue in Oak Forest, Ill.), golfers should follow the aforementioned directions as if going to Burnham Woods Golf Course except at Pace’s Chicago Heights Transportation Center, they should board Pace’s #364 bus going west on 159th Street. They should take the #364 bus along 159th Street to Central Avenue where they should disembark. Golfers will have a ¾ mile to the course’s entrance, which will be on the right.

From O’Hare to River Oaks Golf Course (This course is at 1 Park Avenue in Calumet City, Ill.), golfers should follow the aforementioned directions to George Dunne Golf Course except at Pace’s Chicago Heights Transportation Center, they should board Pace’s #364 bus going east on 159th Street. After crossing Interstate 94, golfers should disembark at the next or second bus stop; the course’s entrance will be on the right.
