Use public transportation going from O'Hare Airport to CPD courses

Chicago’s public transportation includes CTA, Pace and Metra. CPD is the abbreviation for Chicago Park District. CPD has six golf courses.

To use public transportation from O’Hare to Columbus Park Golf Course (This course is at 5701 W. Jackson Boulevard.), golfers should take CTA’s Blue Line train toward the city. They should ride this train into and through downtown Chicago, and then west. Golfers should disembark at the Austin station. They should take CTA’s #91 bus north to Jackson Boulevard, where they should disembark. They should then board CTA’s #126 bus going east for ¼ mile, and disembark at the South Waller Avenue bus stop. There will be a short walk to the course’s entrance on the right.

Using public transportation from O’Hare to Jackson Park Golf Course (This course is at 6401 S. Richards Drive.), golfers should take CTA’s Blue Line train toward the city, and disembark at the Clark/Lake station in downtown Chicago. Golfers should then take the escalators up to CTA’s Green Line, and board a Green Line train going east toward 63rd & Cottage Grove. At the end of the line (Cottage Grove) they should disembark, and board a CTA #63 bus going east. They should disembark after Stony Island Avenue, at a stop that is near the course’s entrance on the right.

Using public transportation from O’Hare to Marquette Golf Course (This course is at 6700 S. Kedzie Avenue.), golfers should follow the aforementioned directions as if going to Jackson Park Golf Course except that after disembarking from CTA’s Blue Line train at the Clark/Lake Station, they should board a CTA Orange Line train going to Midway Airport. (Orange Line, Green Line and Purple Line trains stop at the same platform.) They should ride the Orange Line train to Kedzie Avenue where they should disembark. Golfers should board a CTA #52A bus going south to 67th Street where they should disembark. They will see the course’s entrance across the street on their right.

Using public transportation from O’Hare to Robert A. Black Golf Course (This course is at 2045 W. Pratt Boulevard.), golfers should take CTA’s Blue Line train to the Cumberland station where they should disembark. They should board Pace’s #290 bus going east on Touhy Avenue. Golfers should continue riding this bus for several miles until they reach Western Avenue in Chicago where they should disembark. Golfers should then walk two blocks south on Western Avenue to Pratt Boulevard, and then turn left, and walk ½ mile east to the course’s entrance, which will be on their right.

Public transportation from O’Hare to Sydney R, Marovitz Golf Course (This course is at 3600 N. Recreation Drive.), requires that golfers take CTA’s Blue Line train toward the city, and disembark at the Addison station. They should then take CTA’s #152 bus east to the end of the line at Addison Street & Lake Shore Drive where they should disembark. Golfers will need to walk under North Lake Shore Drive to reach the course’s entrance, which is very close to Lake Michigan.

Public transportation from O’Hare to South Shore Golf Course (This course is at 7059 S. South Shore Drive.), requires that golfers take CTA’s Blue Line into downtown Chicago to disembark at the Jackson station. After exiting the station, they should walk east one block to State Street. At State, they should board CTA’s, #6, express bus going south to 79th & South Shore. They should ride this bus to 71st Street where they should disembark. The course’s entrance is through the South Shore Community Center’s stone arch.
