The base essentials for the continuation of a free society are:
- Liberty-recognizing the freedom of "every" citizen to think, believe, express, and act.
- Justice-giving every man his just due through fair procedure. Equal rights for all.
- Equality-according all men equal protection under the law.
Our American heritage means each individual is important (even gun owners) and has freedoms the government doesn't give nor can take away. The sole purpose of the government is to restrain others from curtailing the free exercise of rights. By attacking the Second Amendment and law abiding gun owners they are "infringing" and abrogating this right.
The major media is supposed to report the facts and allow the people to decide. They have taken it upon themselves to fabricate the news to fit their leftist agenda. They have quite literally sold their souls and became puppets on strings. Gone are the days where reporters reported and informed. In this day and age they are merely cheerleaders for every new encroachment of an out of control government.
The danger of liberal media bias arises from their use of deliberate misconceptions. This causes many in our society to accept lies as fact. This has placed our great Republic in danger. A steady diet of bad information leads to bad choices by the all too gullible masses. Misinformation leads to misconceptions; which when acted upon result in bad laws and less freedom. Their vilification of misnamed assault rifles and the governments draconian response is a prime example of this. They condemn that which they do not understand.

Half a fact is a 100% falsehood. Their indoctrination of the gullible has led to the demonization of firearms and gun owners in general. they unjustly vilify us by playing the fears and prejudices of people like a fiddle. Every new shooting incident follows this outline. This sensationalism and disinformation blitzkrieg appears logical to too many. The waning of our rights has been the result.
We face powerful forces in the unholy union and collusion of a power hungry government and the leftist media. They gain power through our complacency. We have allowed our past to be distorted by their misinformation (guns cause crime), myths (the Second Amendment doesn't refer to citizen's right to bear arms), and historical revisionism (the Founders really didn't mean what they said). Their power and the damage they are capable of, if left unchallenged, is almost absolute.

Those who conspire to control all public avenues of information, squelch opposing views, and ridicule opposition is a threat to the truth. Error is left defenseless only if truth is freely permitted. Hindering the truth leads to political error followed by tyranny. The leftist media has become a literal snake in the grass for liberty loving Americans. This snake maintains it's empire through manipulation, control, and confusion. Their lies and agenda have been impressed upon the subconscious mind of the gullible and is being expressed.
We shouldn't have blind faith in our leaders or their cheerleaders in the media. It is obvious now that both are oblivious to America's heritage and our foundations of freedom. they choose to suppress thought, distort facts, and ignore history. It will require daring minds to break free of their mindless rubbish. The truth they have crushed to Earth can rise again.
We must awaken to the dangerous threat we face as Americans and Alabamians. We must rise and answer the call to stand for the Republic. We must oppose any efforts to infringe on our rights as citizens. We must expose the dangers posed by left wing bias in every media outlet print, electronic, and broadcast. Alabama's State motto is "We Dare Defend Our Rights!" and each of us should take it to heart.
If you see a slanted story; interject the truth. Fight liberal bias with the fire of facts in the battle to preserve freedom in Alabama. Alabama gun owners should utilize letters-to-the-editor, e-mail, phone, fax, and personal visits where possible to shine a light on the advance of darkness. Remember Alabamians silence is consent; so make your voice heard loud and proud. Counter the fallacy that a majority of Americans support their draconian gun controls.
