On Sunday, 2014 Team USA Olympics live stream and TV coverage includes USA vs. Slovenia ice hockey for the men's side of things. The latest game comes just a day after the United States won a thrilling overtime shootout over Russia behind four shootout goals from T.J. Oshie. The latest of the TV and live streaming Olympics coverage for men's ice hockey arrives through NBC's sports networks.
An Inquisitr.com report from Feb. 15 notes that Jonathan Quick may not start as goalie for the game against Slovenia on Sunday morning. Quick was used for eight periods of action on Saturday morning, so many fans and analysts believe that Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller will get the start instead. Miller was the 2010 Vancouver Olympics MVP and will look to help the United States in their qualifying with their third win in three games.
On Saturday morning, Team USA won 3-2 over the Russians on their home ice, in eight rounds of play. It was 2-2 after four periods. St. Louis Blues star T.J. Oshie was the hero with his four scores in the shootout. In the eighth round, he shot one between Russian goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky's legs to give the U.S. the big win in preliminary action. An ESPN.com report captured Oshie's statements to the media following the exciting overtime win, as Oshie commented:
"I was just thinking of something else I could do, trying to keep him guessing. Had to go back to the same move a couple times, but I was glad it ended when it did. I was running out of moves there."
For Team Russia, Pavel Datsyuk was their early hero, as he scored both goals for his team in the second period. Cam Fowler and Joe Pavelski scored for Team USA in the first and third periods respectively. Now Team USA will look to advance forward in tournament play by staying undefeated with a win Sunday over Slovenia. Will Saturday's longer matchup have taken enough out of the U.S. to give Slovenia more of a shot at an upset?
