USA vs Finland Bronze Medal Game Betting Odds

Team USA vs Finland hockey betting odds for the bronze medal game at the Sochi Olympics. Both teams were shocked by their respective opponents in the semifinals and now they both will play head to head in Saturdays bronze medal matchup. Both teams have been shocked to be playing for the bronze while they both have been playing exceptional hockey thru out the Olympic tournament.

Finland Can Win Because...

Team USA has struggled against the better teams in this years Olympic tournament. They easily beat Slovakia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic, but they barely got past Russia (3-2) and were straight up outplayed by Canada (1-0). Finland watched the Americans semifinal with Canada and got the blueprint on how to beat the American hockey club. If they can play a technically sound defensive game they will be able to get the win in this one. Team Finland has been playing great defensively thru the entire Olympics.

USA Can Win Because...

The Americans simply have a better offense then their newest foe. Finland has been getting by in this tournament with one goal leads and great defense. Team USA can quite easily break through a defense and score easily. Which the Americans have done during most of the Sochi Olympics. The Americans were shut out against Canada but keep in mind Canada has only allowed 3 goals in five games. The trouble with Finland is they have not been scoring the goals they need. America has a good defense and great firepower which if they get over the loss against the Canadians they should be able to win this game easily.

Outlook & Pick...

Finland has had some injuries thru out the Olympics which is a tough break for them, even more so with Tuukka Rask becoming sick. If Rask can play it will be a much better game, if not I'd give this game to the Americans easily. Even if Rask plays I think it will be a low scoring game with the Americans still taking the edge. The Americans will bounce back from the loss to the Canadians and win this game 3-1.
