For the first-time ever, according to a USA Triathlon April 3 press release, the Olympic-distance race at this month's USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships in Tempe, Ariz., will be streamed live online Saturday, April 13 at usatriathlon.org.
USA Triathlon, the national governing body for triathlon, expects more than 1,500 athletes from over 120 collegiate triathlon clubs to compete at this year's Collegiate Nationals, the top college triathlon in the United States each year. The Olympic-distance race will begin streaming live at 10 a.m. EDT (7 a.m. locally in Tempe), says USA Triathlon, with the men's race starting at 7:30 a.m. MST, and the women’s race beginning at 11 a.m. MST. Kicking off the Collegiate Nationals race weekend is a sprint-distance, draft-legal event Friday, April 12 beginning at 9 a.m. MST, and a draft-legal,four-person mixed-team relay will cap of fthe day Saturday, April 13 at 4 p.m. MST, according to USA Triathlon.
