US Fans go nuts in Chicago!

What a scene in Grant Park, in Chicago, IL; headquarters of US Soccer Federation.

For fans of the US Men's National team that showed up a minute late for the kickoff, they missed a goal by Clint Dempsey in 32 seconds.

Fans were still streaming in to the park and the place went nuts as the beautiful left footed strike came after a quick throw in.

The US, known for feeling inferior at major games such as the World Cup, changed their attitude towards their legitamacy, thanks in part to new Coach Jurgen Klinnsman, and came out with guns a blazing.

The party became deflated in the 82nd minute as the US gave up a goal to Andre Ayew after a clever back heel in the box to set up the goal.

Four minutes later, John Anthony Brooks, and Illinois native, scored a screaming header off the corner kick, to earn the victory and 3 points for the USA.

USA now sits at the top of the group with Germany, each with 3 points.

What a day in Grant Park and in Natal!

"The world will learn to respect American soccer", said US and Chicago Fire fan, Michael Burton, who attended the viewing party.

The World, and Portugal, up next, is on notice.
