US Uncut National Day of Action: A Huge success

US Uncut,  a grassroots movement who recently pledged to assist in the 99er cause, held a National Day of Action last Saturday that was a huge success.  Their next events are set for March 31st 2011 in Dallas and Edinburg, Texas - but have action events schedules out through September 2011. The chronic unemployment problem in San Diego and throughout the country is exacerbated by the corporate tax cheats in America who continue to off shore jobs and are rewarded heavily by Congress to do so. Among the worst offenders are the Banks. The Day of action on March 26, 2011 centered around  Bank of America branches throughout the USA.

Congrats to the DC and San Francisco Uncut chapters on shutting down their respective Bank of America branches! Congrats to Carmel Uncut for braving the rain to make your point! Congrats to Boston on an excellent concert outside of Bank of America! Congrats to Milwaukee for the great "cyber-protest" idea! Congrats to Jackson, Mississippi for standing out in the hot sun for 3 hours to tell the city's busiest road about Verizon's tax cheating costing us billions!

All of you should be proud. Share these reports with each other on facebook, twitter, flickr, photobucket, youtube, and however else you can spread the word. We're only starting- after one month of organizing, US Uncut is already making a splash, both at the local level and the national level. Uncut movements have also begun in France, Australia, Canada, Sudan, Mexico, Portugal, Ireland, Netherlands, and of course, our friends across the pond with UK Uncut get mad props for being a part of Britain's second-largest public demonstration in their country's history. 400,000 marched in London to protest government austerity programs.

Stay tuned for more details on our day of action scheduled for Tax Day, April 18th, 2011!  This is the big rally where US 99ers and all unemployed Americans will hopefully participate in enormous numbers to make Congress and all of Washington take notice and do something to help the millions of 99ers struggling daily just to survive.

With the US resources year after year going to aid the people and economies of other countries more and more these days - it is time our elected officials realize that we pay them to serve the needs and the best interests of the American People first!
