Only four United States presidents have ever won the Nobel Peace Prize.
President Barrack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize that was announced this morning.
President Jimmy Carter received the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for his work "to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development" through The Carter Center. Carter won this award after he was in office, and is only US President to win the award after being president.
Woodrow Wilson received the 1919 Nobel Peace Prize. Wilson went to Paris to create the League of Nations and form the Treaty of Versailles, and won the award for these efforts.
Theodore Roosevelt was awarded the 1906 Nobel Peace Prize for negotiating an end to the Russo-Japanese War.
