Another Christmas is in the books and I for the first time in a number of years failed to send Christmas Cards. My excuse is the internet, with Facebook, Google+, Twitter and all the social engines it just seems sending Christmas Cards are becoming more and more obsolete. I confess I have become dependent on Email, Facebook, Google+, Twitter and all the others. I feel terrible for the US Postal Service, but you can send a card plus pictures or even video with just one click. Plus it costs one cent shy of fifty cents to send just one stinking letter, it used to be less costly to call long distance than to send a letter!
Sending a letter by postal mail is becoming a luxury for the rich, but for us poor folks it is becoming obsolete.
Unlike the Universal Life Church World Headquarters, the Roman Catholic Church like the US Postal Service continues to operate like if it is the 1800's or perhaps 1900's and because of such to offset the decline of parishioners and/or shall we say customers costs have gone through the roof. Cost is contingent on supply and demand. If the demand for a product goes down, the cost of the product goes up. They are actually attempting to make us pay for their mistakes and poor management.
The Roman Catholic Church and the US Postal Service are both dying commodities, this world really doesn't need them. There are churches like the Universal Life Church World Headquarters and with Email and package services like Fedex, UPS and etc., if the Roman Catholic Church or the the US Postal Service shut down tomorrow, folks will continue on unscathed, not missing a beat.
I wonder how Jesus Christ feels about the Roman Catholic Church, they need to start selling some of their assets, rather than attempting to rape God's children for their mistakes!
