US Playstation Plus content update for 1/22/2013

The US PS+ content that will hit the Playstation Store today was revealed yesterday, and includes quite a few discounted games. Many are more interested in the free items, though, so we'll start with that. Today th PS+ users in the US will get one free game: Foosball. Featuring single player as well as multiplayer modes, full Move support, and full cross-compatibility between PS3 and Vita (meaning you can play against people on Vita using your PS3 and vice versa, as well as have your save files synchronized automatically between the systems if you have both), Foosball aims to bring all the fun of the real-life game to the consoles.

In addition, Escape Vektor gets a discount (now $7.99 for PS+, originally $9.99). In this game you must help a man named Vektor escape from the CPU, moving through a massive 150 nodes in 27 different areas. Can you escape, or will Vektor be doomed to be trapped inside the CPU for the rest of his life?

Finally, there's the new 13 for '13 sale. This is a list of games that are getting discounts, not just for PS+ members (though they do get a higher discount), but for all PSN users. The games in the sale include Machinarium (original: $9.99, sale: $4.99, PS+: $2.50), The House of the Dead: OVERKILL: Extended Cut (original: $19.99, sale: $9.99, PS+: $5.00), NiGHTS into dreams… (original: $9.99, sale: $4.99, PS+: $2.50), and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (original: $7.99, sale: $3.99, PS+: $2.00). For a full list of games and their prices, you can see the official announcement.
