The US Open 2013 live stream and televised coverage will continue on Thursday, Aug. 29 from Flushing Meadow, NY. Among the featured matchups taking place on the fourth day of the tennis tournament will be Rafael Nadal vs. Rogerio Dutra. This match featuring one of the top-ranked men's tennis players will receive TV and US Open live stream coverage thanks to ESPN's sports channels or networks.
An Aug. 29 report via US Open website states that Rafael Nadal has won the most titles among men's tennis players in 2013, with nine total. He also is a previous champion at the US Open, winning the tournament back in 2010. It's been reported that if Nadal can win this year's edition of the Open, he'll grab a $1 million bonus as well, making for a motivational payout. The other motivation would be reclaiming the No. 1 ranking among men's tennis professionals. Nadal is currently ranked No. 2 by the ATP.
The ESPN site reported several days ago on Nadal's easy victory in his first game of the tournament, which went down 6-4, 6-2, 62 against American Ryan Harrison. Nadal spoke to the media about his performance, saying it's too early to tell if he's in top form right now. Nadal said:
"It's difficult to analyze now. I am playing well. Happy the way I was playing. I don't know if it was the best or not, but it was very good because I was able to win."
In Thursday's matchup, Nadal will take on Rogerio Dutra Silva. Dutra Silva defeated Vasek Pospisil in five sets to make it to probably one of his toughest tests in Nadal, who has now won 15 straight matches. In terms of head-to-head matches, these two have never played each other, making for their first-ever meeting. Dutra Silva is 5-5 in his last ten matches, including four straight for the US Open, three of which were qualifying matches. Nadal won the Cincinnati Masters earlier in the month, defeating John Isner in the finals.
