This men's singles opening round match is scheduled to get underway following the conclusion of the Serena Williams vs Francesca Schiavone match at 7 p.m. EST (6 p.m. CST/4 p.m. PST).
Presumably, Federer and Zemlja will get things going around 9 p.m. on the east (8 p.m. CST/6 p.m. PST) and their best-of-five-set match will be broadcast live on ESPN and US Open's Live Stream feed.
According to the latest US Open 2013 odds, "The Swiss Meastro" is understandably listed as a huge favorite over the unseeded Slovenian in this one.
Tennis betting experts give the 32-year-old Federer the nod, placing him as a mammoth 1/40 [-4000] favorite over Zemlja's 18/1 [+1800] longshot odds.
While this will only be their third head-to-head meeting, the 26-year-old is still looking to take a set from the 17-time Grand Slam champion. Federer comes in looking for his sixth US Open title, but only the first since 2008.
