US Coast Guard confirms: Two Gulf oil spill clean up workers have died
The US Coast Guard is reporting that two of the workers involved in cleaning up the Gulf oil spill have died.
As of June 11th, 71 oil spill clean up workers have been hospitalized in Louisiana, due to exposure to vapors from the toxic disbursants.
Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told the Daily Beast, “"We're very concerned about the impact of the disaster on the public health of people in the gulf region."
CBS News reports, “Seven weeks into the oil spill crisis, there is still confusion and uncertainty about how to protect the people cleaning up the mess. Commercial fisherman George Jackson was overcome by fumes while inspecting boom; BP gave him no protective gear.
Earlier in the crisis, BP CEO Tony Hayward attributed the sickness of clean up workers to
“food poisoning,” despite suggestions by medical experts that the symptoms of food poisoning are very different from findings from exposure to toxic chemicals.
No details have been released about the deaths of the two clean up workers.

Despicable. More blood attributable to BP. The government needs to ban BP from US operations.

just ban all oil companies. stop them from drilling more and more and more. let them start to invest on renewable energy. let them start now! they can afford it. in this way they will obtain good conscience and they will more profit and a lot sympathy and support from the people. renewable energy is very sustainable with only a little environmental impact to mother nature. please spread this idea of mine to the politicians especially to the oil giant companies.
Larry look up petroliumworld.com
there have been several articles written about how the sea floor is shifting and the possibilities of volcano type eruption from that oil gushing area... it won't stay empty for long...we could have major issues with high tides, etc.

We must stand strong and gather in numbers to prevent more poison from being pored into our oceans... we must create renewable fuel access now, no more blood for oil, no more blood to fill greedy pockets of oil execs. No more oil. Blessings to our Earth to heal and for the angels of the sea to find a way to survive this disaster.
