The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community - USA is hosting nationwide conferences to respond to allegations commonly made against “history’s most peace-loving person—Prophet Muhammad,” the community said in a statement emailed today, February 26th.

The national campaign will see events taking place in 70 chapters of the community around the country.

These events, the statement said, are an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to learn about the Prophet Muhammad from practicing American Muslims.

“Over the past several years Prophet Muhammad’s character has been maligned on numerous occasions, including a hateful video," the statement read.

“This event provides an educational and civil response, demonstrates why over 1 billion Muslims revere Prophet Muhammad.”

The community believes the campaign will serve to build bridges of understanding.

According to its website, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist and fast-growing international movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, the Community is now established more than 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions.

The US branch of the community was established in 1920 and it is considered among the first American-Muslim organizations.
