Defensor Sporting came out of Medellin with a tremendous 2-0 win against Atlético Nacional in Copa Libertadores quarterfinals. For two players, Ramón Arias and Matías Malvino, that could have been their last match of the season after they were outed for partaking in a sex party after that match.
The report as made late on Thursday night and that information was later confirmed after the players were suspended and fined for their post-match behavior.
Malvino was one of the defensive stalwarts throughout the match that La Violeta won on the while Arias was on the bench. The two players were outed on social media after appearing naked in a photo with a young lady in the Colombian city of Medellin. The incident reportedly occurred outside of their hotel and the sanctions were confirmed by the club's sporting director Richard Marchelli.
Both players will be suspended for Defensor's big match against annual table leaders Montevideo Wanderers as well as the return leg of the Copa Libertadores against Atlético Nacional. The advantage they have is that Nacional will have to score three goals or more and win by two in order to prevent the Uruguayans to reach their second semifinal.
