Update 2/6/14: "Jess" has been pulled from the facility and is currently in foster care. Click here to learn more about her rescuer.

A pregnant dog, housed at the Galveston County Animal Resource Center in Texas City, Texas, is desperately in need of assistance from a rescue agency.

Triumphant Tails, Inc., has taken to Facebook with the urgent request for help.

1.30.14 UPDATE: I was advised that this dog is showing signs of going into labor at the shelter tonight. PLEASE continue to share for rescue assistance! The sooner she and her soon-to-be-born puppies get out of their current environment, the better their chances for survival.

The pit bull, dubbed ""Jesebelle," was picked up as a stray - she is said to be "very friendly."

Although the dog's true "due out" date is not until Feb. 4, the animal control agency has agreed to release her early in light of her condition.

A non-profit, 501(c)3 agency is needed to facilitate this expectant mother's release.

Triumphant Tails, Inc. stated:

PLEASE SHARE/TAG/CROSS-POST for rescue! We are willing to assist with transport out of our area to a confirmed 501 that is able to take her in.

If you can help, please contact us at, or contact the shelter directly at 409-948-2485.

The situation is urgent, please take a moment to network this girl's information. Facebook thread can be found here.
