An upstate South Carolina dog lover is doing her best to help two dogs who are were in a dangerous situation. Due to being unemployed, she needs a bit of help from fellow animal lovers.

Brandi Goode, with Down South Players A Pit Bull Rescue, was contacted by a lady whose father-in-law had become ill, and was no longer able to look after his dogs. One is a 2-year-old blue brindle pit named Gator, and the other a 4-year-old white and brindle pit mix female named Lady Bug.

The man has two sons, who are upset their father isn't trusting the dogs into their care. The men told the family they wanted to breed and fight the dogs. It took quick action by the daughter-in-law to remove the dogs before they ended up as fighting dogs.

Brandi had help from a fellow animal lover, who helped find Gator and Lady Bug a safe place until she could get a kennel set up at her home. Brandi currently has two pits that came from bad situations, who won't allow another dog to join their pack.

Both dogs need veterinary assistance. Gator has broken teeth, and Lady Bug is emaciated. Both are wonderful dogs, who only want to play. Brandi only has two weeks to raise money for Gator and Lady Bug, She needs a kennel big enough for both of them, and funds to help with vetting and everyday care.

Brandi had told herself she wasn't going to take in any more dogs until she gets back on her feet, but Gator and Lady Bug have stolen her heart.

A donation webpage has been set up here at PetCaring. Please donate a few dollars if you can, and share their story.
