An upstate dog is up for adoption after being abandoned by his owners, Facebook reported January 24.
Billy was a dog no one cared about, living at the end of a heavy chain in upstate South Carolina. His family thought so little of him that they left him chained behind their home when they moved.
Billy, age two, would have died cold and alone, if not for the Good Samaritans who decided to change his life.
Billy was rescued, and was recently neutered and received his vaccinations. He's currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, and his guardian, Elaine Goodwin Gayle, is looking for the perfect forever home for this boy.
Billy wants to live inside, where he can be a real part of a loving family. He's a very friendly dog, and would make a great companion for the right family If you would like to offer him a home, or at least a rescue until a home can be found, contact Elaine on Facebook.
Please share Billy's story, especially with those in upstate South Carolina who are looking for the perfect dog to add to their family.
