Upside down pizza

My daughter likes to cook with me and sometimes she comes up with the meals we make. She found a picture of an upside down pizza in one of my magazines. It was on an ad for a pasta sauce. It looked good to me and easy enough for her to help with so we made it. This pizza was so delicious! I am excited to come up with variations on this dish in the futures. It was a lot of fun to make with the kids. You can even see some of their decorating skills on the pizza crust edges. I would love to hear your ideas for different fillings. Right now I am thinking a spinach and feta combination would make me happy and maybe a cheeseburger pizza for my son. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef

1 jar of pasta sauce

1 package of frozen chopped broccoli, thawed

2 cups of shredded mozzarella

1 can of refrigerated pizza dough

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain any excess oil. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in your jar of pasta sauce and bring the combination to a boil. Pour mixture into a 2 quart baking dish.

Pour broccoli on top and then cover with shredded cheese. Unroll the dough and press it over the entire dish, be sure to seal the edges.

Bake for 20 minutes or until pizza is a golden color. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

This recipe looks really interesting... almost like a pizza pot pie, though not quite. I bet it's really good, and I bet my girls would like making it with me. Thanks for sharing!
