Update 7/25/14: Joe has been adopted!

A beautiful, young "snow white" cat in California is at risk of losing his life if a rescue agency or adopter is not secured soon.

The one-year-old cat named "Joe," has been at the East Valley Animal Care and Control Center in Van Nuys, Calif., since July 8, and his time there is running out.

On Tuesday, the following information was written about this handsome, at-risk cat:

He is a shelter staff favorite and has several hearts on his kennel card that say "Sweet Boy." Every time I tried to take a picture of him, he tipped over. He has one blue and one green eye and is so handsome. He is red listed with a due date of 7/13/14. The shelter is full and he can be killed anytime. He needs out asap. Love love this cat.

There are a staggering number of homeless cats currently being held within the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control system...551 at the time that this article was published. Unfortunately, that high number puts Joe at great risk of losing his young life.

Please take a moment to network on behalf of this beautiful, sweet-natured boy - he has many years of life left to live.
