An upper level low will continue to influence the region today and another disturbance rotating around the system will trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms into the afternoon. The storms are once again expected to produce locally heavy rainfall and some small hail is also possible in the taller storms. Considerable cloud cover will likely hold temperatures down below normal values once again, but some breaks of sun are possible.

The upper low will slowly release its grip on the region into Sunday with gradually improving conditions and warmer temperatures expected, but an isolated shower or thunderstorm is still possible, especially across eastern areas. Abundant sunshine will return on Monday as high pressure attempts to build into the region with above average temperatures into the lower 80’s and a brief period of dry conditions in most areas.
