Upper Arlington lawyer can’t be located to serve for move over child pornography

William B. Feldman of Upper Arlington, Ohio had been convicted on January 30th of pandering sexually oriented material that involved juveniles after authorities found child pornography on his home computer.

He also had his law license suspended by the Ohio Supreme Court due to the felony conviction and had been ordered to move from his home due to it being near Greensview Elementary School and the Sunny 95 Park on Carriage Hill Lane.

He is refusing to leave his home, though, so Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien and an attorney for the city, Jeanine Hummer, filed a civil complaint in March to have him permanently relocate from his home on Lyon Drive.

The problem now is the inability of anyone to locate him to serve him with a copy of the filing.

His lawyer, Eric Hoffman, said on March 10th that he had yet to receive any notification that a complaint had been filed against his client but it is hard to believe he hasn’t received anything by now.

This was after Hoffman stated in February that he wasn’t sure Feldman was going to even comply with laws that required him to move; which is why O’Brien and Hummer are having to seek additional legal action.

State and city laws prohibit convicted sex offenders from living within 1,000 feet of a school and the city laws have additional restrictions that include swimming pools, libraries, licensed daycare facilities, preschools and playgrounds.

Feldman is now a Tier II sex offender, meaning he must appear in person to have his picture taken every six months and verify registry information for the next 25 years, register any change of residential address, place of employment or enrollment in a school or institution of higher education.

And he must move away from his home on Lyon Drive.

Being that Feldman was a lawyer who has a lawyer, logic would suggest they know how to ‘skirt’ the laws and it would appear as if they are doing a pretty good job of it.
