Upohar Ethnic Cuisines now open for lunch

Upohar Ethnic Cuisines is settled in their new place and is now open for lunch. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays. Takeouts will be available until 2 p.m. Today they are serving a traditional Bengali menu in honor of the Bengali New Year. Upohar has moved just out the City into Manheim Township. It is now located at 241 W. Roseville Road.

Mary Street will be closed today and the southern side of Chestnut Street will be restricted to one lane. Lancaster City will be working on an emergency sinkhole dig today at the intersection.

Today is expected to be another beautiful day. The National Weather Service is calling for a breezy day with a high of 75. Tonight there is the possibility of showers and even a thunderstorm.

Knitting can be a relaxing craft. Learn how to knit at the Library! This free session is held every Monday at 6:30 p.m. and is for children and teens. The Library is located at 125 North Duke Street.

The Library also holds Citizenship Lancaster classes at 6 p.m. every Monday. The sessions are designed to help people become citizens of the US. Registration is required. To register, call the Library at 717-394-2651 ext. 105.

Monday is Service Industry Night at the Federal Taphouse, 201 North Queen Street, from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Brandee’s Irish Pub will offer specials from the Starr Hill Brewing Company tonight at 7 p.m. The event will support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Lancaster Public Works is continuing the flushing of the water distribution system. The flushing will be done from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through 30 May. If your water appears cloudy, let it run for a moment. If the problem continues, call the Water Quality Lab at 717-291-4818.
