As the calendar turns from September to October, and the leaves turn, it's clear that autumn has come to the Midwest. Cooler days and nights are chasing us in from the patio and from around the fire to the cozy confines of the indoors. But, with the right layers, you can still eke out a few more months' enjoyment from these crisp autumn days before the snow begins to fly.
Enter one of the hottest jacket styles for this fall: an m65 jacket. The m65 is a military-inspired classic that you'll definitely recognize, even if you didn't recognize the name. The field jacket has its origins in the US Army and comes with plenty of functional details: a roll-away hood, adjustable cuffs, and plenty of pockets.
It's on trend, and comes in plenty of fabrics and colors to keep you warm as temperatures drop. Consider it your casual-dressy option with an edge.This means you can wear it out for a night on the town, and hitting up one of the many weekend apple festivals or pumpkin patches, but not necessarily to work, unless you don't have to be business casual.
