Three of the Seven Dwarfs
The Seven Dwarfs at Dallas Animal Services - Doc, Bashful, Sneezy, Happy, and Grumpy have now been adopted. Dopey is in the vet's office with a bit of a cold. Sleepy is still there and waiting for someone to make his fairy "tail" come true! His adoption fee is only $85 and includes everything but the kitchen sink - a tiny price to pay for a lifelong companion! Meet him at Dallas Animal Services.
Grace, the little burned dog from Paws In The City - Little Grace was adopted not long after she was placed in a Paws In The City foster home. Her adopters had her checked out by their personal vet, who thought her gait seemed unusual. Xrays later revealed that in addition to her burns, she had a dislocated hip. But Grace is healing well and settling into her new home, which she shares with two Chinese Cresteds, Misha & Girlie Goo. You can still help others like Grace though, by donating to Paws In The City's Medical Assistance Fund.
Orca, the staff favorite from Dallas Animal Services - Metroplex Mutts moved mountains to get Orca out of the shelter and he is at the vet now receiving treatment for heartworms. Metroplex Mutts desperately needs someplace calm and quiet for him to recover. A loving home or even a temporary foster will help tremendously, or you can always lend a hand by donating to help cover the cost of Orca's heartworm treatment.
Another burned dog and a staff favorite, Melina at Plano Animal Services - Potential adopters continue to overlook Melina, perhaps because of her scar, so she remains at Plano Animal Services waiting for a home. She's survived so much and now she only needs a home. For only $25, can't someone give her what she deserves?
Marcus, the cat who acts like a dog, from Humane Society of Flower Mound - Surprisingly, this gregarious cat, who loves people, dogs and other cats, still has not been adopted. This guy is a real keeper, so if you know of anyone who is even considering getting a cat, they really must meet Marcus!
