Although the rain has halted the first half of Harvest at The Oval at Eakins Oval, Marc Wilken, Park Concessions Manager for Philadelphia Parks and Recreation says the rest of the weekend's festivities are a go!
"The weather forecast looks promising for the weekend with some sunshine and only a 30 percent chance of rain so we are going to proceed with holding the festivities on both days," explains Marc. "All of the activities will be held on the parking lot to keep folks off the grass."
Here is the updated schedule for the weekend:
Saturday, Oct. 12 – Fall Festivities, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Pumpkin Painting, Hay Rides, Petting Zoo and a Cider Press
Music: The Highwater Preachers – bluegrass band, 2-4 p.m.
Food: Surf and Turf, Local 215, Delicias, SouperVan, Little Pop Shop
Saturday, Oct. 12–Costume party, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Encourage folks to come in costumes
Prize(s) for best dressed
Music: DJ Apt One and DJ Bruce
Food: Surf and Turf, Local 215 and SouperVan
Sunday, Oct. 13 – Farewell Festivities, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
95.7 BEN FM spinning tunes, playing games and giving away prizes
Food: Mucho Bueno and Pitruco
