Hickory North Carolina police have made testing evidence in the investigation of missing 10-year-old Zahra Baker top priority. DNA testing is scheduled to be done on a bone found in Caldwell County North Carolina, near where Zahra's prosthetic leg was disposed of off Christie Road. Zahra's stepmother Elisa Baker has lived near Christie Road in the past.
Elisa Baker is currently in jail on charges that she obstructed justice by writing a bogus ransom note; trying to thwart police into thinking a stranger abducted Zahra.
While in jail, Elisa Baker has started writing letters to the owner of a crime memorabilia website. In the letters she maintains her innocence and says she nor her husband Adam Baker murdered Zahra. Baker claims they found Zahra dead, but what Adam Baker did with Zahra's body was "kinda horrific."
Elisa Baker also brags about making it on the Nancy Grace Show and complains about the picture the media uses of her in these letters.
More letters are expected to be made public.
Furthermore, a family member of Elisa Baker has taken to the airwaves to defend her, they do not want their face or name made public, but they claim that Zahra wasn't abused, but that Elisa was the victim of abuse. But that is contrary to the story that friends, neighbors, and family of Zahra. They claim Zahra was abused at the hands of Elisa.
Moreover, my sources tell me that Adam Baker was seen moving objects to a one bedroom apartment, including a mattress in a U-haul. Adam Baker, the father of Zahra, was previously staying with an older lady, who according to my sources had an Australian accent.
Also, the biological mother of Zahra is now speaking out in an emotional interview with an Australian media outlet.
