Police officers claim that the description of a mountain lion in the neighborhood of Westcreek near the elementary Galm may have been a accidental false report, claiming the description of the cat may have been a bobcat, which do naturally live in southern states such as Texas, or a large house-cat.
Meanwhile with SAPD's helicopters pulled to the neighborhood by the sighting, it seems the game warden and cops have lost all trace of the large Cougar, which they claim may be around Leslie road, close to the area of North West Vista Community College. Residents in areas of north west San Antonio, ranging in an equal circumference that includes West Creek, are urged to stay in doors until the animal is shot or caught.
The WOA has yet to release a statement onto how the animal was lost. The long time animal refuge, which has survived through under funding and the great Bexar country floods of 98, was decided to be dissolved and in the process of transferring animals to better locations and facilities. It is possible that the animal became loose during this process, but it is also to be noted that this is not the first time the sanctuary has come under scrutiny.
It is currently under attack for helping PETA save monkeys that where going to have invasive, unessissary brain surgery.
