The American Red Cross Blood Drive that as scheduled to be hosted by Flowers by Paulette today (Friday, 13 September) had to be cancelled, according to Jack Shenk of Flowers by Paulette in an email today. The blood drive was scheduled to begin at noon and run through 4 p.m. The company hopes to reschedule at but a date has not yet been set.
“We here at Flowers by Paulette wanted to let you know a Red Cross representative called us this early am to let us know they would not be sending us a blood mobile and we needed to cancel our event. They said their driver called in sick and they were not able to find a substitute. We are very disappointed about this since we have had so much advertising and donations from other businesses and support from blood donators to make this a successful blood drive for The American Red Cross,” announced Shenk.
“We would like to thank all involved and wish to extend our sincere apology for the inconvenience this may have caused anyone. The Red Cross is notifying all those who had signed up for blood donation,” wrote Shenk.
