When Kate read about a little puppy in Garland, Texas, she was struck by his sad story.

When no one came forward to save the puppy, she called the shelter to see what she could do to save him.
Through the had work of local networkers and Dog Star Pit Bull Rescue, the puppy was saved at the very last minute. Hurdles like vetting, flight arrangements and foster care were taken care of so this one dog could have a life.
He arrived at his new home Sunday. He is very much loved, safe and warm. He is now called Ruger and has a beautiful big sister, Diamond.
This is how rescue works…all the way from a Garland, Texas high kill shelter to a happy Cape Cod winter wonderland.
