Update: Teagan, abused German shepherd, now a happy, healthy dog

Not long ago, this beautiful young German shepherd was subjected to misery that no living creature should have to endure. Teagan, a dog horribly abused and subsequently thrown away like trash, is now healthy enough to undergo surgery.

Teagan owes her good fortune to the kindness of others -- good people who did not close their eyes to her pain in an attempt to deny the transgressions against her. Janice Wolf of Rocky Ridge Rescue matched the abused dog's spirit to survive with her own spirit to save.

Teagan's situation continued to improve after her story was shared with compassionate dog-lovers across the country.

Shortly after sharing Teagan's story, a Western Washington couple known for their passionate love of the German shepherd breed contacted Janice to make a generous donation towards her eye surgery. Others helped with monetary donations also. Becomes of the donations, the funds for Teagan's eye surgery are there.

Today, Teagan will undergo the surgery to remove her damaged eye. Janice has expressed concern for the dog as she is about to have surgery -- after all, Teagan was frail not long ago. But Janice knows that Teagan is ready. One only has to look at Teagan to see that she is not the dog that she was several weeks ago ...

Teagan's coat is now thick and glossy, not brittle and sparse as it was when she was found. Teagan can walk and play like other dogs. Teagan, for all intents and purposes, is now a healthy, normal dog.

Janice kindly offered to share these beautiful photos of Teagan so that the many people that read about the young dog's plight could see for themselves how lovely the once abused dog looks today.

Teagan has not been adopted yet. Janice will actively promote the sweet dog to adopters after she has had a chance to heal from her eye surgery. Janice will be looking for loving, dedicated owners that want to provide Teagan with the life of a princess.
