Yet another pet has been killed by inhumane steel-jawed traps set out by Bourbon County resident Gregory Tyra reports Lex 18 News. These pet deaths have occurred in a matter of days, inspiring concern as to how many other innocent pets and animals have fallen victim to Tyra’s cruel animal abuse.
Traps with serial numbers have been traced to this man who was recently incarcerated at Bourbon County Detention Center for carrying a concealed weapon.
“One of those traps killed a pet dog, who was caught in the trap while on a walk. Since then, police in Bourbon County have found more animal traps at the public park, and now, more pet owners have come forward.”
Jacqueline Muth was walking her pet dog, Billy Boy, in Garrad Park when he was seized by the steel-jawed trap by the neck. He died a painful and torturous death.
“When the dog reached inside the animal trap, it snapped on his head, killing Billy Boy almost instantly. "There were kids right across the creek at the time that it happened. They could have gotten caught! And believe me it can do tremendous damage," says Muth.”
“Tyra was arrested this past week and admitted to setting the trap that killed a dog in Bourbon County.”
A Facebook page has been organized to bring awareness to these tragic acts and to effect change so that more animals do not fall prey to inhumane animal abuse.
