Feeling that Kari Ann is disrespecting the program by walking around the treatment center with her pants constantly inching lower and lower, Phil Varone has had enough. It isn't conducive to his sobriety.
Kari Ann is getting annoyed at people constantly badgering her to pull up her pants. The techs try to explain that it is part of the program, part of the rules: Don't show your skin i.e. pull your pants up, Kari Ann.
Episode Four Summary: As the patients begin their second week in rehab, they are starting to suffer from sexual withdrawal, which happens much later with sex addicts than with drug and alcohol addicts. Phil, in particular, is edgy and struggles with not getting "his release." During group Dr. Drew tries to assess how everyone is handling this critical phase of treatment. Anxious and jumpy, Penny twitches as she recounts her vivid, sexual dreams starring everyone in the group. She freely admits to "failing miserably" in terms of maintaining celibacy in her dreams. Kendra, still extremely angry about the letter that she received from Kari Ann, refuses to participate in group.
Cast Bio: Kari Ann Peniche Former Beauty Queen - Kari Ann is a beauty queen from small-town Oregon, who went on to win the miss United States Teen title. She was stripped of her title after appearing nude in the November 2004 issue of Playboy Magazine. She's an on-air host for LND TV and has appeared numerous times in Howard stern's "Tickle Chair". From ages 4 to 8, she was molested by numerous men. She was also raped at ages 14 and 17. Kari Ann had abusive relationships and partied hard for at least two years, sleeping with many men, but never getting emotionally involved with any of them. She acknowledges this problem with intimacy, saying that she has over 800 numbers in her phone but not one person she can call.
Cast Bio: Phil Varone Rock Star: Phil Varone is a drummer who has played in several bands. When he first began touring, this former high school geek suddenly found himself pursued by women, and a whole new world opened up for him. He estimates that he has slept with over 3,000 women. A recovering cocaine addict, Phil's sex addiction escalated with the death of his mother 11 years ago. He desperately wants to have a committed, caring relationship, but at the same time he prefers dating multiple women, and feels that he would become bored with just one person.
