After inking a contract with the Colorado Rockies and touring Coors Field, Tyler Matzek will be heading to the Casper Ghosts of the rookie league. The Ghost's are one of the Rockies minor league affiliates in the rookie league. Matzek is a dominating left-handed pitcher who was recently signed by the Rockies right out of highschool.

Matzek is scheduled to arrive there sometime today. As of this writing, Matzek has not been added to the Ghost's roster but should be soon. He will undoubtedly have a physical done before he's actually activated to start for Casper.

Hopefully, Matzek will be able to pitch for Casper before the season is over. If he does well at Casper he may have the opportunity to play for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox as soon as next year.
