The Boston Terrier who went missing after her owners car slid on the icy road and turned over has been found. But it’s not the good news everyone hoped for.
Friday evening, the dog, named Wendy, was found alive in the woods near I-71 and Mock Road, not far from where the accident had taken place. The family states that a nice couple called them after keeping Wendy sheltered overnight.
Wendy was hurt, however, and very weak. The little dog miraculously held on for four days in the cold. Although she was immediately taken to a veterinarian, she had many complications, including a collapsed lung.
Wendy died of a heart attack last night.
The family sincerely wants to thank everyone for their support and help in their search for Wendy. They are good people who did all they could to get their beloved dog back.
Wendy was part of this family for eight of her nine years. They are heartbroken, but find comfort that she was found and returned to them so she was not alone.
