Update 12/29/13: Gina has been diagnosed with cancer and she has many health problems, including two infected ears, rotted teeth, flea allergies, skin problems, hair loss and ulcerated eyes. She will be having surgery on Jan. 9 to remove her tumor and her bad teeth. Those hoping to help pay for her veterinary expenses can do so by calling the Dunwoody Veterinary Center at 770-394-5004 or through paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Life for a senior dog named "Gina" looked dismal on Christmas Eve after her owner abandoned her in the lobby of an animal services facility in Decatur, Ga.
Fortunately, the sad situation was quickly remedied when the elderly dog was pulled to safety by the rescue agency, Fighting for Dawn.
On Friday morning, the rescue shared a cute tidbit about the little dog:
Gina refuses to get out from under the covers this morning....
Gina will be given a full, senior work-up at the veterinarian and then she will be made available for adoption.
