On August 30, a handsome, five-year-old German shepherd named "Sam," was left at the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control in Downey, Calif.
Sam was surrendered to the facility because his owner moved and chose not to take Sam along...
After weeks behind bars, the beautiful shepherd was finally saved.
On Tuesday, Westside German Shepherd Rescue pulled Sam from the facility, and out of harm's way.
Sam is one of the fortunate ones - too many deserving dogs never walk out alive.
