If you don't live in Los Angeles you probably have no idea what it's like today and for the last two weeks leading up to Hollywood's biggest night of the year, the 85th Academy Awards presentations at the Dolby Theatre in the heart of tinsel town.
It's crazy. There are traffic jams all along Hollywood Boulevard. Hotels, bars and restaurants are jammed with customers eating, drinking and awaiting the beginning of the telecasts that always start early with fixations on who celebrities are wearing and whom they are with. And of course there are the usual house parties, also causing parking problems on neighborhood streets, especially in West Hollywood where the residents really take tonight's events seriously and with much celebration.
The weather is sunny right now, but there is a nip in the air and the temperature is expected to plunge, like actresses necklines, tonight. But of course none of the golden cast walking the red carpet will look the least bit cold, but trust me, the scantily-clad will certainly feel the chill in the air. Then again they do have all that billion dollar borrowed bling to keep them warm.
It's great to live in LA. Now watch the video to see how Seth McFarlane will flaunt it tonight. If there is anything about this show for me, it's the appearance of this talented actor, singer, illustrator, cartoon creator and wit that I can't wait to see.
Horray for Hollywood.
