Update on MotorCops for Kids and Benefit for Daniel Jay Bell

The 10th Annual MotorCops for Kids was held on Sunday, November 20.  It was a 37-mile police escorted ride that originated at Dallas Harley-Davidson with a final destination of the Hella Shrine Temple;  all procees benefit the Shriner's children's hospitals.

While the forecasted rain did affect the turnout, approximately 1,000 riders turned up to participate -- and the rain held off during the ride.  729 toys and $25,000 in cash were donated. to this worthy cause. 

The organizers had a goal to break the $250,000 mark and this 10h year has put them in exceess of that amount with a total of $255,500.

Congratulations to all the riders, volunteers, and sponsors for this great achievement!

Daniel Jay Bell was involved in an accident on November 19 when a drunk driver pulled out in front of him.  Bell is recovering; however, he lost a leg above the knee and is suffering from a broken pelvis and two ribs.

Friends of Bell are holding a benefit for him on Saturday, December 3 from  1p - 6p at Red Neck Heaven (2501 S. Stemmons Freeway, Lewisville).  This will be a rain or shine eventt and cagers are welcome.
