Update on Grayslake man accused of gunning down dog near Save-A-Pet

A Grayslake man accused of shooting and killing a dog near Save-A-Pet on Tuesday, January 26th, was arrested this afternoon and charged with a Class 4 felony of aggravated cruelty to animals.

The man was given a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear at a bond hearing today. If found guilty he could spend up to three years in prison.

It has also been reported that he does not have a FOID card yet owns many guns.
