Update on feud between Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio

The return of Jack Swagger has been a successful one for the man himself and the WWE. What started out as a mind boggling feud between Swagger and world champion Alberto Del Rio, has quickly become a solid feud that's gaining a lot of momentum heading into WrestleMania 29. This momentum has not gone unnoticed by the WWE brass. According to a March 7th report by The Wrestling Observer, the WWE plans to keep this feud going beyond WrestleMania 29 and at least through the Extreme Rules PPV which takes place on Sunday, May 19th in St. Louis, Missouri.

It's rumored that the WWE is planning to have a submission match between Swagger and Del Rio at the May PPV. It's unclear if Del Rio will retain the title at WrestleMania 29. Despite Del Rio's success, Swagger's controversial character is causing a buzz and generating some "heat".

Swagger returned to WWE TV on February 1st. But it wasn't until the February 11th RAW that Swagger truly started turning heads and that was when his new manager Zeb Colter debuted. The duo began an anti-immigrant campaign that has quickly solidified Swagger as a legitimate contender. He would go on to win the Elimination Chamber match on February 17th to make him the #1 contender for Del Rio's world title.
