There is wonderful news to share about the depressed, five-year-old German shepherd who was surrendered to the Fulton Animal Services facility in Atlanta, Ga., earlier this week - he will be rescued.
Ruger will ultimately be traveling to Wisconsin where he will be in the care of the White Paws German Shepherd Rescue.
Ruger's story was networked widely by individuals who hoped to see him leave the facility and find a family who would provide him with a loving, forever home. The handsome German shepherd, who is suffering from an ear infection and heartworms, was extremely depressed over the loss of his prior family and he had refused to eat, or even to interact with the people who came to see him.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to share Ruger's information.
