Following Daniel Bryan's neck surgery, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion's timetable for a return to the ring has been a hot topic of speculation. Originally slated to return in June to square off with Kane in a Buried Alive match at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view, word is that Bryan is unlikely to make that match. If he does, it is even less likely that we'll see him in the ring before the pay-per-view itself.

Should Bryan be unable to make the Money In The Bank event, the Buried Alive match would shift to the July 20 pay-per-view, Battleground. The worst case scenario is Bryan returning as late as Summerslam.

On Raw, Stephanie McMahon advised Daniel Bryan that he would have to surrender the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Payback this Sunday or his new wife, Brie Bella, would be fired. In a recent interview, Bella hinted that she wanted to start a family, which leaves the door open for Bryan to carry the championship into June, giving the WWE and Bella an out, storyline-wise.

Do you think Daniel Bryan will surrender the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Payback? When do you think we will see him back in the ring? Sound off in the comments below!
