Update on Alex Da Silva case - in court again next month

November 8, 2011 – Ex- Salsa dancer and instructor Alex Da Silva, who stepped for a short while into the spotlight as a choreographer for the television show So You Think You Can Dance, had a court date today at 8.30 am.

Last month, on September 16, Da Silva was found guilty by a jury of an attack against a 22 year old female in 2002, as well as an attempted attack against a 25 year old female in 2009.  Four other counts were mistrials.  

The length of his prison sentence was supposed to be announced today. However, the court records show that he has a new court appearance scheduled on December 13, 2011.  Meanwhile Da Silva remains in custody at the Los Angeles Central Jail.
