Earlier in the week "Man slaps crying baby on plane" was a huge headline, but now that man has been slapped with the news that he no longer has a job. According to a report from late Sunday (Feb. 17), Joe Rickey Hundley is no longer an employee of AGC Aerospace and Defense. This information was released by a public relations firm, which confirmed that the company had indeed had enough of Hundley.
A statement was released by the president and CRO of AGC (Al Haase), who apparently was not a fan of Hundley's after hearing he had allegedly slapped a crying child and then used a racial epithet during a flight. Haase stated that Hundley's behavior was "offensive and disturbing" and said he "is no longer employed with the company." That was fast movement from the company, possibly spurred on by all of the bad press this has received since the incident took place.
Joe Rickey Hundley is forever going to be known as a man who slaps a crying baby on a plane, even if he still hasn't been found guilty of a crime by the courts. He faces a charge of simple assault for his actions against a 2-year-old boy and will apparently be pleading not guilty to the charge. It doesn't look good for him either, as one witness had claimed that Hundley reeked of alcohol, was belligerent, and was making those around him uncomfortable.
