UPDATE: Liquefied natural gas discussion in Savannah

Just last month, I posted an article with information regarding a Savannah Town Hall meeting to discuss the proposal by Southern LNG to route almost five dozen trucks [58 exactly] carrying up to 13,000 tons of Liquefied Natural Gas [LNG] per day through Savannah on DeRenne Avenue to Interstate 16.  Currently, Southern LNG operates a Liquefied Natural Gas [LNG] facility on Elba Island - just east of Savannah, and it recently applied for permission to reactivate a loading dock terminal for trucking operations at its Elba Island LNG facility.

I have received some direct and indirect comments directed toward the legitimacy of the research I shared in my first article.  My logic for posting a link to a 1980 abstract was to show that there is nothing new under sun.  More than thirty years ago, the potential harm of LNG was the same as it is today in 2010.   If you missed the opportunity last month to take part in Savannah's LNG discussion, click on the links below to get more details and do your part to keep Savannah safe!
